Språk

Israel har två officiella språk: hebreiska och arabiska. Båda de officiella språken samt engelska är obligatoriska ämnen för alla elever i skolan. Andra språk som talas av stora delar av befolkningen i Israel är franska, spanska, tyska, jiddisch, ryska, polska och ungerska.

I Israel finns det såväl lokaltidningar som internationella tidningar att tillgå på ett flertal språk. Alla gatuskyltar och reklamskyltar har text på såväl hebreiska som engelska och i de flesta fall även på arabiska.
